WELCOME TO CHICAGO

Back in the nineteenth century, Chicago was regarded a town. However, in the twenty-first century, it has evolved into a more prosperous city than ever before, with an estimated population of 8.9 million people. Back in 1848, Chicago got its first railroad. By 1854, Chicago had grown to become the world's largest grain port, with over 30,000 people. Until the Great Chicago Fire, a total calamity that set the standard for a reborn city. It killed 300 people and left homeless 100,000 others. Furthermore, it destroyed one-third of Chicago. This great tragedy, though, left Chicago in a condition of melancholy. It quickly recovered, and its population continued to grow. Our city has been rebuilt, and the Willis Tower has become the city's heart and soul.
